Verizon wireless and Linux?

Has anyone configured and used Verizon's wireless service under Linux?

I have a Dell Latitude C810 running Gentoo Linux.

I'm living temporarily in NJ and travel a lot. I'm not able to arrange Internet service at my current location so I would like to arrange for mobile Internet service.

Verizon's 5 gig monthly service would be fine for my needs if I can get it to work on my laptop.

Any experiences out there?
