Taskbar

When turok disc 1 autoplay kicks in I get nothing on the screen and the exe file sitting on the taskbar. Typically if you right click on the taskbar item you get options, in this case nothing happens. Anybody got any ideas what may be happening? It flickers but does nothing, no error messages, nothing at all.
