Simply because you set RAM:FSB ratio to 1:1 ....
If you set ratio to auto, even FSB set to 266, the board will run RAM at 400MHz.

1:1 at your RAM's stock speed would be a CPU overclock to 3.6ghz.

With that being said. Which is better generally, Ram at 266 running 1:1 with slightly tighter timings. Or Ram on "Auto" and running @400?
