Guys over at the norton board are saying it's part of office scan.

I just tested this theory by opening a Word document. Guess what? There were new entries for Windows File Scan in the log. So that appears to be it. Mystery solved.

1 edit		 sorta, but I don't get that log in Windows xp pro. strange because I got it turned on and nothing. what ever I am not going to get this drive me crazy because I know norton is working because I've tested it with the test virus and all.

My laptop has Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP1.
