Solaris is based is based on SunOS, which is based on System-V. Early versions of SunOS were based on BSD, SunOS 4 was the first System-V
SunOS 4 was the last BSD based SunOS. I know since I used SunOS 4.1.4 up until Y2K.
SunOS 5 was the first System-V SunOS.
OOPS! Yeah your right, SunOS 4 was the
last
BSD. I use SunOS and have for many years.
