For those who would still like to know how, all I did was right click my shortcut and clicked the "Change Icon" button. Then I clicked browse, so I could choose the file that had the icon I wanted. I clicked the file and clicked "Open" and the "Apply" and it placed the icon I wanted on my shortcut.
