[iO] Will VOOM channels survive?

Now that Dish has dumped them? I have my doubts, especially since we're not paying extra to get them...

Unless Rainbow Media closes up shop first, I'd expect to see them until at least 6/30 when their contract with CV apparently expires. I see CV doing everything in it's power to keep them until they're ready to expand the existing HD lineup b/c from a marketing standpoint, they can't afford to drop 15 channels without backlash.

It'll be interesting to see if Voom rebrands itself, again, and combines all of it's content into a few (2-5) channels and seeks broader carriage or if they just sell everything off.

I hope not. They do repeat a lot but I love Monsters HD, and the wife loves Equator HD.

If they do drop them I hope they replace them with something else right away.

Isn't Rainbow partially or completely owned by CV? Hard to imagine the channels being a good business prospect going forward if CV themselves are the last remaining major carrier.
