| [HELP] Cisco VPN client connecting from internal network
Hi Everyone
I just setup a Cisco asa firewall for vpn use. Home users us the Cisco vpn client to connect into our internal network. Unfortunately while I am in the office home users have Reported there is a problem with their vpn connecting.
I can not connect using the vpn client while I am in the office internal network to troubleshoot the issue.
What other methods can I use while I am in the office internal network to connect to The vpn just as the home users.
Thanks |

| In some companies, it is a common practice to have a 2nd Internet connection to Tier-1 ISP in addition of an existing primary Internet connection to different Tier-1 ISP. This 2nd Internet connection does not have to be as powerful as the primary one, especially when the 2nd Internet connection is intended to serve as backup or as test/lab environment. As example, the primary Internet circuit could be DS-3 and the 2nd one is just plain 1.5 Mbps DSL.
When your company does have this 2nd Internet connection, you can run VPN client software on one of the machines that are connected to the 2nd Internet connection; to simulate home user problem.
If your company does not have such 2nd Internet connection, then now it is probably a good time to have one. |

@charter.com | reply to JDmailNY I run into this situation too and we only have 1 T1 connecting. I use VNC or Remote desktop to get a outside connection for troubleshooting.
Have those VPN users able to connect in the past? or never? |
