kudos:7 | Duopoly This is what you get with the FCC's "multi-modal competition" model. One cable company in each area competing with one phone company. This was the FCC's great idea to encourage broadband deployment and innovation: dismantle competitive common carriage and replace it with a sanctioned duopoly.
It seems that the evidence is mounting that this wasn't such a hot idea.
