:I'm trying to decide whether I should play either Age of Conan or EQ2: RoK. I've done some research on both games (and played the EQ2 trial), and they both seem to be great games. What I want out of an mmorpg is good graphics (not like crysis graphics, but that's not an mmorpg), GREAT gameplay, and a HUGE community. I like PVE, and I have never tried out PVP. The only other mmorpg that I had gotten addicted to in the past was runescape, and I quit that a long time ago. I've done a lot of searching for the right MMORPG (I have downloaded so many trials, but none of them really "stuck" to me). If there are other MMOs that you guys recommend, then by all means list them in your replies. My system specs are at the bottom.
AMD Opteron 1212 oc 2.5 GHz air cooling (intake/exhaust)
2 GB DDR2800 RAM
80 GB HD
ATI 2600XT 512 MB 128 memory bit
ASrock ALIVE NF6P AM2 board (supports Phenom)
425 Watt power supply
PS if I do choose to play AoC, then would medium graphic settings (50-60fps average) do the trick or do I need a better video card?
Hrm, let me see here. You want good graphics, great gameplay, and a huge community? You like PVE and are new to PVP? Why not World of Warcraft? If you are new to mmorpgs, its a great stepping stone. WoW is a great starting mmorpg.
