Test answers versus real life actions

Wouldn't the students merely give the test answers that they thought the University Administration would want? For example, if the question was "Should you download a movie from a P2P network that was recorded by a movie goer's camcorder: (A) Yes (B) No." The student would answer (B) and then use their P2P time to download a camcorder recorded movie.

This kind of reminds me of that essay I wrote for a Skeptics society when I was a kid. I did a survey to see how people's beliefs in supernatural phenomenon changed as they aged. I made sure that my conclusions were in line with what a skeptics society would believe (that people believed less in the supernatural as they matured). I wound up winning honorable mention in the contest and won $25.

Just because the students answer the questions one way doesn't mean that they'll believe the answers that they are giving.

why should they bother with the crappy camcorded movie, when they can likely get a DVD or HD quality version?

download the camcorder version..... that's just silly!

I think the student would choose (B), then download a high quality rip of the screener DVD. Who downloads camcorder copies anymore?
