Once again, you started a SENTENCE with a conjunction. There we have it, PNH can't even grasp English, but he criticizes others.
Sounds like you have reading comprehension problems as well.

Seriously PNH, don't thank anyone for your own stupidity.
Maybe some of my teachers went to your school?

No wonder you joined the military...
I did? That's news to me!

You're about as lame as it gets here bud. I'm done with this conversation.

"But you haven't proved that my question is grammatically incorrect." The word but is a conjunction and IT LINKS two sentences or thoughts together.

Seriously PNH, don't thank anyone for your own stupidity. You're about as lame as it gets here bud. I'm done with this conversation. It's proven time and time again, your basis and delusional tendencies far outweigh arguing with. No wonder you joined the military, you were far too inept to handle the real world so you had to let others dictate your life. This shouldn't be construed in the sense that people who join the military are dumb. However, some like yourself have no other choice, when mother nature gave you nothing else to work from. Obviously, it should be noted all conversations with you go off track and focus on the mundane. At which point, you fail miserably at trying to hash that out, when you make the same mistakes.

Guys, don't get in so deep, this was just a fun sidetrack.
So if you slacked...what did you do as slack? Sleep? Hike? Read romance novels? Collect belly-button lint?

Since the thread has already taken a nasty turn, I'm not going to get into challenging credentials. I'm very confident in saying that while my undergrad may not have been super-challenging, the grad program was FAR from cake (stale crackers and water at best...so had to break for the beer often!).
It's all balance.

A) English might not be my best topic but nor is it yours.
But you haven't proved that my question is grammatically incorrect. Meanwhile, you have been making spelling mistakes (on a website with a spell checker no less), various usage errors and other English mistakes. I don't see how you are in any position of authority to evaluate my perfect English skills.

Go google the word conjunction. Conjunction junction what's your function. Have you ever heard of that phrase?
Direct quotations should be marked as such.
said by jc100 See Profile :

I guess school house rock didn't teach you anything.
Titles are proper nouns and should be capitalized.
said by jc100 See Profile :

You can't get yourself of this one.
You should proofread to make sure you did not any words out
said by jc100 See Profile :

Back to the topic, you can thank your teachers for your ability to read and write.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the US military, as I learned to read and write in English.

I guess school house rock didn't teach you anything. A conjunction is meant to link two sentences together. You can't get yourself of this one. You failed miserably. The FAILLLLLLLL was meant for emphasis. Obviously, you noticed that and realized it applied to your lame attempt at criticizing others. Back to the topic, you can thank your teachers for your ability to read and write. Not to mention, you can thank them for the job you have or are working towards. If it weren't for them, you would be asking if customers would want big or small fries with that order.

Sigh. First, I referred to the fact you STARTED a sentence with the word AND.
I see. So I started it.
said by jc100 See Profile :

And = Conjunction. Therefore, you created a sentence fragment.
Yawn. A sentence fragment is something which cannot stand on its own as a sentence. My original question could, so hence, it is not a fragment.
said by jc100 See Profile :

Notice, the word and is a conjunction and links two sentences together.
You already stated that English wasn't your best subject, so I understand that you may not be able to recognize a properly formed English question.
said by jc100 See Profile :

So FAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL would be your word of week.
Is that even a word? Maybe you need to go back to "what" and find out if they speak English there.

Sigh. First, I referred to the fact you STARTED a sentence with the word AND. And = Conjunction. Therefore, you created a sentence fragment. You're question is as follow: And you are a teacher? Notice, the word and is a conjunction and links two sentences together. What are you linking here? Please elaborate. It has nothing to do with ending that given sentence with a period. So FAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL would be your word of week. Next time, don't criticize others if you can't even do so properly. As for the word very, I am aware of it. However, that word would also fit my sentence. Vary in terms of new aspects is fine. Either way, I have nothing to prove since you fail at judging others. Once again, PNH comes out missing.

to present under new aspects - According to Meriam Webster, it can be used as a transitive. I never claimed English was my best point grammatically speaking.
The proper spelling of the word you should have used is "very."

Says the man who criticizes others while using A FRAGMENT and beginning a sentence with a conjunction.
Actually, my question is grammatically correct. Furthermore, even if I had made a grammatically incorrect statement by ending the above with a period instead of a question mark, it would not be a fragment.

And no, I am not a teacher.

Said the man with the education and know how to write the vary sentence that criticizes. Obviously, you are on this computer with the ability to read and write due to your teachers. Likewise, those same teachers educated you with the skills that you possess to be employed. So those who can teach, and those who wish to learn seek their advice. That'd be more accurate.

Yea... I did nothing and I'm a slack. Did you call your professors slackers? How about your teachers in school? I bet not. I studied to be a teacher. Obviously, that's something you don't appreciate since you know, they EDUCATED YOU. They did a poor job at that it seems though =).

No, I was just in a real major. Had I shot for a degree in basket-weaving, I might have had more time for fun.

So you slacked...and you didn't par-tay? Ah, your choice then. Where I took what free time I could to drink beer, others too that time to play Nintendo. Some did both! If you had the time to slack, then no complaining about not having the time to party

LOL Kool me. I never lived on campus but I found time to do stupid things in my spare time with friends. I ended my grad with approx 3.2 as well. It was all that wonderful thing called a balance, as you put it. The thing that sucked for me was I lived 30 miles away from my school and did the commute daily. Therefore, I really couldn't party on campus. It'd been quite hard to get back =P for such a long drive being screwed. Therefore, I made it up with friends where I lived LOL. Either way, unlike PNH who absolutely must be the "SPOCK" of all humanity (without the logic, just the seriousness), I found time to have fun. Hey, I even passed too and never failed a class. In all the time I was in college, I only dropped one class (didn't need it) and got a pity pass on another. Yet, I never failed. So yes PNH, people can have lives. Hey get this, I even got a 4.0 on my Masters. So I guess you just suck at balancing things would be the moral of this story PNH. Maybe you should invest in time management classes =P.

I dunno, I exited the college track with a 3.2 GPA in my undergrad major and a 3.8 in my grad school MS degree.
I finished with a 3.2 as well for my undergrad degree... but I had a hard time earning it. If I hadn't studied as much as I did... I would have flunked out. As for grad school, I slacked... I pulled a 3.1, which of course is just above barely passing

I had a Heck of a Time partying throughout.
Granted, my first couple semesters weren't so hot, way too much partyin' and not enough studying. But I eventually figured out the balance, even with a job (P/T) thrown in the mix.
It's all about managing your time wisely
