it's the sharing part thats gets you busted.

i wonder does the average joe care if your sharing
copyrighted content? most likely not,
unless your joe's kid and joe just received a nasty-gram from the AA'S

Depends on what court you're in front of. A few weeks ago we had a news item where the court ruled that just having the file available didn't constitute infringement and that it only happened if/when someone else actually downloaded the file.

best way to swap at College atleast in a dorm building, setup an Ad-Hoc wifi net with custom Firmware WRT54GLs as repeaters. wouldnt be the same as P2P as it wouldnt be on the internet it would just be like tape trading back in the 80s
