The femtocell can be used for what is being called Fixed Mobile Convergence. It will allow you to get 3G/4G speeds on the road while also getting the same or better speeds in the home(where 3g/4g signal strength could be weak) with the same mobile devices.

| Which still has nothing, at all, to do with providing an alternative broadband ISP connection, right? You're describing a service that uses one's existing broadband connection for other services, the same as consumer VoIP from Vonage et al. or video via Slingbox, etc.
