O cut your usual crap PNH. Seriously, colleges have always been about 75 percent study and 25 percent party or leisure. Since colleges have been around college kids have gotten in to trouble for one thing or another. In the 60s it was protests and now in the 2000+ its p2p. I'm not justifying it, but nor is it some shocking revelation where we all must pretend to gasp. It happens, face it. The RIAA isn't even proving their case by these letters. However, most people tend not to fight them due to legal costs. What's to say these affected computers weren't part of a net of hacked drones? While I doubt that to be the case, it's still possible. Botnets and hacked computers wreak havoc on many ISPS. There's nothing to say that said computer isn't hacked and used as someone else's storage and proxy to share said files. Either way, get off the kick bud. I don't even know why I bother replying to you, as rarely do your comments add ANY BIT of relevance to ANY conversation on dslreports.
LOL..

NJIT is probably more along the lines of 95% study and 5% leisure (usually World of Warcraft). I can't recall any good parties taking place here... There is a 15:1 male to female ratio and if there are any females, they are probably Muslims with the cloth over their heads. Good thing is that this school is literally right across the street from Rutgers - Newark, which is completely opposite when it comes to study / party and girls per guy.

You're looking at the wrong school. This is the University formerly known as UMR (though the guy/girl ratio is a little better then what yours was - 10:1). I graduated from there 2 years ago and you really don't understand the need to study. I played WoW for about 80% of the time and studied about 5% and still had just under an A- avg. This is an engineering school with a ton of nerds - of course they're going to be downloading. I'd assume they just wised up to downloading internally from servers and sharers we had instead of going externally to be caught - faster and no RIAA police. The other thing to realize is that it takes 5 min to queue up 20 songs to DL and you listen to music WHILE studying or gaming or whatever.

LOL but still I'm sure you found time to go out with buddies and relax or just chill. I mean, I'm sure if you attended an "IT" type school, you had the common sense before you got that. As a result, I bet you could blow studying off at time. Just a thought.

I know some at some schools, students just make their own file servers. They basically, as you said, just share their stuff cross campus with everyone. This alleviates the need to go to p2p and worry about getting caught.
