You will have no problem using a PCI-e 1.0 slot with a 2.0 card. There completely backward compatible, you will however get the slower 1.0 speeds on the bus rate.
BTW: Unless your getting the 9800GTX I would stay clear of the 9 series I have heard it's just a shy better than the 8 series. Go for a 8800GT or GTX & you will be VERY happy. |
