Just a heads-up for those interested
Phormwatch - This blog is intended to keep track of participating ISPs, websites and advertisers who use Phorm adware/spyware technology, as well as PR agencies who collaborate with Phorm, inc. The purpose of this is so people have the choice to avoid using these companies as well as to help people make their displeasure known to them. |

| Good point about JAP. I also suggest(ed) avoiding it.
I've emailed Phormwatch, providing them a link to SecurityFocus' JAP article. |

AntiPhormLite is in Beta.
Particularly when left in default mode (the settings most users apply) it may not be too difficult for Phorm to filtering out traffic generated by AntiPhormLite. Many people would have to use AntiPhormLite to skew results and the biggest disadvantage is that those users would have to consent to using Phorm's behavior tracking software in the first place.
Future versions for Mac, Linux, mobile and screen saver modes are in development. |

Ask them.

| reply to SUMware User "consent" is irrelevant and is being used by ISP's as a deliberate distraction to lull the ignorant, trusting users into believing they will not be tracked if they say "no thanks, I don't want this" when it comes to Phorm and the others. All data from all users is collected all the time by the Phorm hardware and you are still profiled (and that information can be sold). The only thing not consenting does is force Phorm to not send you specialized ads. You are still snooped on all the time for everything you do including email and instant messaging. Phorm is man in the middle physical attack hardware that your ISP has purchased and sits inside your ISP's network and you can do NOTHING to stop the collection of all data from your machine. The ONLY true solution to this rape of your privacy by your ISP is to get another ISP. That, of course, poses a real hardship for many users who have only the one choice of broadband and it means they would have to go back to dialup. -- "The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet.
