Most video offices should be 2hd/2sd capable now and seeing as the marketing is about to start for it in the next week or so, its a safe bet that anyone can request a profile migration and have the 2hd enabled.

Any idea if the Chicago VHO 2HD update was going today?

As a Tech doing installs, the DVRs came up slow today, and calling Tier 2 said that the VHO must have very high traffic if it takes longer than usual for the DVRs to come up. And I am not the only tech from my garage who noticed this today...

So it could be totally unrelated, or it could be an explanation as to why...

I doubt that the new profile change caused a high flux in traffic to the point that it slowed down stb registrations.

more than likely it was just another dvr backend problem "that microsoft is aware of and working on"

the dvr communication to the backend is one of the biggest things i think needs to be re-worked, if i were a customer (and as most already do see it like this) i would want to watch my recorded programs during an outage.

to be honest, i dont know of a list of VHOs that are 2hd capable, AFAIK the majority of the vhos, including the major ones (such as st louis and atlanta) will have the ability for profile migration if it hasnt happened already.

all new installs were supposed to be under the new profile and existing members were to be automagically migrated over on an area by area basis or so ive read.
