To tell if it is fiber or copper look at the pole and see if there is a tag around the cable at the pole . Fiber is usually tagged at poles copper is not. In Tennessee ATT is puttng a lot of fiber in for its future UVerse service due out at sometime later.
I was wondering why the cable was wrapped like that at the pole. I'll take a picture to confirm suspicions. Beats me why AT&T would deploy U-Verse out here in the semi-country, but I'm not going to complain.

@comcast.net		 In order to get a statewide franchise law in Tennesse passed. ATT agreed get there service to a certain percentage of rural area presently not service for broadband.
