no such thing as right or left wing.. the global elite want control, this isn't a part of the plan.
just like the gas prices going up and up (yes.. it's controlled by the global elite.. NOT opec)
the pirate bay is just a portal. if people want to download music there, let them I have other ways of getting music
downloading music only told me to buy the cd.. now that the RIAA is fighting this, buying cd's is wrooooong since they bring home most of the $20 or $15 (or, in the case of pink floyd's the wall $35)
the artist gets $.25 cents per disc sold.
wake up please people.

| reply to basquiat said by basquiat :Ah, TK misses the point again. See in Sweden, as in Canada, downloading music is not illegal, possibly unethical but not illegal. On top of that the Pirate Bay has zero content on its servers. Basically it provides links (like Google) and no real content. Check out » thepiratebay.org/legal for some amusing links to previous (failed) hollow legal threats. Well what do you expect from people with techinal college degrees? Thank god people in Sweden are smarter than the average country, cause they are more capable at having independent thought. |

said by TKJunkMail :said by rob_in_chatt :and i hope the Piratebay wins. earlier this week, we saw that the RIAA can be beat. And I hope the Pirate Bay loses. The owners are nothing but crooks who should be in prison. Studies have shown that the TPB actually increases profits for music artist as well keeping the global warming down via the inter tubes. I have as much evidence to prove this is true as you or anyone can prove otherwise.
It's a no win situation as they say "have your cake and eat it too", if you want to accuse hosting links to content as stealing, then you can't play semantics and not accuse everyone else who does the same (google, new groups, yahoo, even this site, even you). |

Gotta love how you skirt the actual issues and just post one logical fallacy after another. Seriously, do your posts ever contribute anything substantive? As opposed to this post: »arrrgh mateys

These guys aren't crooks...they have broke no laws
I hope the Pirate Bay Wins...in a sense they are figthing the good fight against an organization of Criminals
the RIAA, MPAA, etc have all "repeatedly " broke RICO Laws of Extortion and have Practiced Racketeering and Corrupt Organization laws...why are they not tried? they are guilty..they harrass poor people with lawsuits, with little to no proof knowing people can't affrod to fight them in court so they get money...that is extorition my friand plain and simple
Not to Mention Media Sentry and others have broken Federal Computer hacking laws hacking into peoples computers is a crime...yet no one does anything about it.
The Pirate Bay is fighting the good fight....the fight for Liberly of the Technological age and the Liberty of the Internet...my gosh man...if the TV stations would have won their lawsuit, we wouldn't have VCR, DVD recorders, and etc today..or even cd and dvd burners in our computers...thank god they lost
Keep it up pirate bay...you are paving the future for a new electronic age
they may just make DRM useless and people will give up on it...that would be the biggest technological victory since Windows 3.1 |

| reply to TKJunkMail ehhhh, if you read the story in question, instead of rushing to push your corporate agenda TK, you'd see that the lawsuit was brought on by a group of NON-SWEDISH music artists/copyright groups. The case itself is being tried by the swedish court of course. That, however, doesn't make them(the courts) the accusers. BTW, they've gotten off loads of times. For proof, read: »thepiratebay.org/legal Enjoy.... |

Here is the answer to why its happen .
Its called money and if you got enough of it you can get any governing body to do questionable things.
I would suggest you actually read your proof instead of posting a link to it...lol. |

| reply to Warez_Zealot I'll leave your butchering of the English language alone...but what type of degree do you think constitutes for a better argument for the legality of copyright infringement? And by what measurement are you figuring these Swedish are smarter?I was unaware that the latest technologies were coming from Sweden! Are they all being designed from that cool knife?
