Lol, they'll have to create suits in more countries than Sweden to stop TPB. Guess what? Their servers are all over the world, not just Sweden. Gotta love the MAFIAA nutcases, eh? BTW, Sweden isn't (yet) in the US, so unless we have a desert storm-style invasion of Sweden, TPB ain't going away in a long time.......... |

said by BF69 :totally unbiased "news"man standards have dropped. BF69, I don't know whether you intended your comment to address the same thing I'm talking about below, but I read it that way, so here goes. The following is addressed to the editor.
There's really no such thing as unbiased news. But if you're going to call it news instead of editorials, then at least stick to the facts.
Calling the entertainment industry "corrupt" is an obvious value judgment. If that's what the facts support, then state the facts and let the readers draw the conclusion. If the facts don't support it, then it doesn't belong in a "news" section.
Keeping it reasonably objective shows more respect for the readers, and earns more respect from them, and avoids criticism for bias. |

Listen I don't like people calling themselves journalists and reporting "news" then have crap like this. I don't care what side of an issue you are on.
"Pirate Bay Faces Off Against Corrupt Entertainment Industry
Much of the entertainment industry has it in for the big BitTorrent tracker The Pirate Bay. A man dubbed The Web Sheriff has been working with has-been music artists on developing a copyright infringement lawsuit against The Pirate Bay."
Using the words "corrupt" and calling artists "has beens" is that really making your case? In which when you're reproting news the point is to report FACT not make a case.
If you have to resort to that to make your point then you suck.
here's what the guy SHOULD have written.
"Pirate Bay Faces Off Agains Entertainment Industry
A man dubbed The Web Sheriff has been working with music artists on developing a copyright infringement lawsuit against The Pirate Bay." |

| Sometimes, you'll learn that the real world doesn't often meet your expectations for it... You might as well go around hounding all major news agencies that add their slant to their 'news' stories. EVERY journalist has a slant, it's human nature. This article just had that slant a bit more pronounced than others. Don't like it? Don't read it. And it's "Against", not "Agains" If you're going to lecture journalists on how to write, might as well get off on a fresh start yourself........ |
