| Wireless bridge, wireless LAN questions
I have a bridged LAN setup and have some questions about it.
Here is the network topology:
DSL ModemBridge #1 (B1) Senao 2611CBBridge #2 (B2) 2611CBWRT54Glaptop wireless connection
Questions:
Do B1 and B2, WRT54G and the laptop client have to have the same SSID?
Does the channel for B1, B2 and WRTlaptop have to be the same OR Can the B1 and B2 channel be different from the WRT laptop channel?
Does the B1B2WRTclient connection require the same WEP (B1 and 2 only have WEP while WRTclient supports WPA) OR Can B1B2 be WEP and WRTclient be WPA?
B1 and 2 only support 11b while WRT client supports 11b/g. Should everything be set to 11b or can I mix 11b on the bridge and 11g on the WRT?
Thanks for any insight or suggestions for network improvement. |

Yes, I will try your suggestion using Network Notepad and submit my queries again. |
