Lombard, IL | Was a good alternative to 56K dial-up... ...when there was no alternative. I had Sprint Broadband Direct for a couple of years before AT&T finally got around to offering DSL in my old neighborhood. The latency was just horrible, and I seem to recall the system didn't exactly offer 99.9% uptime (or anything close to it). The service was pretty bad too, with techs flat out missing appointments, etc. If the service is still like that, I would think customers would be happy to move to EVDO or WiMAX.
