| reply to iansltx said by iansltx :No, you can blow through your 250GB cap in 11 hours, 27 minutes of constant downloading. You do not need to go it all at once. The 250GB at 50Gbs means that you get about 22 minutes a day of full speed downloading (or more download time per day if you go slower) if that 11 1/2 hour figure is accurate. There is also the uploads for ACKing the downloaded packets as well as the real uploads (Email, Web Requests, etc.) that eat into the capped traffic. |

2 edits | reply to TKJunkMail well then, what's Comcast's cap then, TK (no, not the point at which you get booted, I want a definite answer)? Maybe instead of marketing $150/month connections filled with fine print, Comcast should concentrate on actually giving users a definitive cap, and incorporating that into their TOS. The 'few minutes' was merely a hyperbole, but if a user can blow through the so-called 250 gig cap on a 50 meg connection in less than half a full day, somethin's very, VERY wrong. BTW, the chance of this issue disappearing is about as much as that of TPB being shut down... |
