I'm curious about what the band has been re-allocated to-MDS demand has virtually been zero these past few years. MDS was de-officialized by FCC, and renamed Broadband Radio Service (BRS). Its being planned for WiMAX now by Sprint, but FCC never put any mandatory buildout or any requirements to use the spectrum for anything, so it will lie vacant forever probably. Sprint is under no obligation to ever do anything with the spectrum and there is no requirment to have service on it. Sprint already sat on it for a decade or more. |
