There is no doubt in my mind that recent traffic shaping efforts by providers like Cox and Comcast aren't about controlling piracy but about normalizing traffic shaping...getting that foot in the door.
What starts with the "evil pirates" will spread to competing services like iTunes, VoIP, Amazon Unbox and Netflix all under the guise of "reasonable network management". |
