hate to tell you Champ, but Linksys DOES make modems also, and WalMart sells them.... so the person you were trying to correct, was already correct. Might pay you to check first.

You're right. I didn't realize Linksys made DSL modems. I have never seen one in WalMart though, and I doubt they're a hot seller in big box stores like that due to the fact that they're not plug-n-play with just any DSL providers network.

And the sarcasm wasn't necessary either....I've already got plenty.

Don't feel bad I believe the Linksys ADSL modem is already discontinued. I found this under "achived products" on the Linksys page Home »Products » Archived Products » AM300

As far as I know the ONLY Linksys modem that Walmart sells is a cable modem which will obviously not work with ADSL and ADSL2+ that CenturyTel offers.
