Re: I Had Sprint Broadband Direct I too have Sprint Broadband direct (at least till the end of JUly) The reliability has been damn near 100% for close to seven years. (cant recall an outage that lasted more than a few minutes, normally do to heavy snow between me and the tower)
Sprint's recommendation to employ EVDO as a comparable service though is a laugh, at the same price point they are gouging you for an "Additional data usage is $.001/KB (Maximum monthly charge $99.99 on the 40MB plan)" or an extra $20 per month for unlimited.

 | Me too. I have my service since 2000 till now. 100% up in last 7+ years. I have the same dynamic ip for 7+ years. Of cuz they locked down the upload speed to 128k, but my download speed seems unlimited. The 13-14mb was the highest download speed I got when I was downloading the exchange server service pack from microsoft year ago. My average download speed is 5-6mb, but it is very depended on the upload speed from the other side.
I won't consider their EVDO offer. I will consider ATT DSL Pro 3mb/512k. It cannot be compared to Sprint direct, but it is the fastest speed that I can find in my area. For some reason I don't like comcast. |
