Guess the new Xohm/Clearwire will have 5GB caps and P2P throttling too. You fanboys can go kill yourselves now.

Because their EVDO service does? Man, you must be awfully limber because you stretch a LOT.

Clearwire already has caps, Sprint will have caps. New Clearwire will naturally have caps, Sprint obviously sees no problem with it.

No they don't. Here is their AUP as you've obviously never read it: »www.clearwire.com/company/legal/aup.htm

So you're basing your 3 assumptions on a fact you are mistaken about.

Stating Sprint obviously sees no problem with capping a service when they've been the only uncapped EVDO service is simply a logical fallacy. They are instituting the cap to prevent a data usage nightmare. They just started offering the Unlimited $99 dollar plan, which includes EVDO data.

Clearwire Ireland has outright caps.

And perhaps you should read the AUP yourself. It outright talks about throttling. Perhaps I should quote it since you havn't read it.

quote:
Excess Utilization of Network Resources. You may not use the Service or take any action, directly or indirectly, that will result in excessive consumption or utilization of the system or network resources (i.e. excessive peer to peer applications or continuous FTP uploading or downloading, or commercial purposes (except where permitted by Clearwire)), or which may weaken network performance, as determined in Clearwire’s sole discretion. Clearwire may use various network tools and methods in order to efficiently manage its networks and to ensure compliance with this Acceptable Use Policy. These may include detecting malicious traffic patterns and preventing the distribution of viruses or other malicious code, internet port monitoring and managing network resources through techniques such as limiting the aggregate bandwidth available for certain bandwidth intensive protocols such as peer-to-peer applications and newsgroups.

Unlimited plan doesn't include tethering or data cards, it only has on-handset unlimited data. PAM (Phone As Modem) is a seperate monthly charge.

You're quoting Clearwire Ireland and then to try to change what you said to throttling? Throttling and usage caps are two different things and Clearwire Ireland is not the United States.

lol, all of this crazy speculation based on a "leaked meeting" I happen to get insider information and Dan does not belive in caps and limitations.
