I have to believe the second you indicate the slightest interest or make a purchase in a product served from an ad linked to your "highly anonymous one way hash", the gig is up. These people can equate your hash to you, and do so without running afoul of the agreement between Nebuad and the ISP.
Sure, Charter isn't violating your privacy in this instance, third parties do the dirty work and they are under no obligation whatsoever to protect your personal information or browsing history. |
