Nice

This is a good device for people that don't have a HTPC or consolidate their TV and monitor into one device, which is what I do. I've watched Netflix streaming on my TV/Monitor and its actually very nice, I watched a few movies (2001, its sequel, and something else) The picture quality was actually very good but I was on my new 10meg pipe instead of 1.5 so I was given the best picture, Netflix checks your speed and decides what quality to give you.

The Movie scaled to full scree on the 37 inch Monitor nicely it was better than some digital I've seen on some local provider.

The way I look at watch it now is if you are an extreme movie buff you can watch movies while you wait on your turnaround time. This IS NOT a replacement for the mail service but a supplement and while I wish for later movies they are always adding what they are allowed and there is tons to access now.

Ah crud I forgot that I was going to mention that I can see the need for an Open STB, not a full HTPC (could be) but at least a net connected one with a good amount of power and capability.

As companies turn to the web as a distribution medium they are going to want to target the TV, the one in the living room of the masses that don't want to know that TCP/IP is or just how man pixels is in 720p or 1080p, just that you plug this here, that there, and the last one to the TV and you are ready to go.

If there is no inclusive solution that would consolidate most to all these services we will end up with many boxes doing basically the same thing for different companies.
