Ability to group and delete "system" messages in IM.

If this has been posted before, lock this, I looked and didn't see anything that looked the same...

I think it would be nice to have the ability to group and delete all the system messages we get.

I am talking about all the messages IM'd to us when someone replies to a post of ours.

You mean like the housekeeping function?
»/instant/0?chk=1

When I click on housekeeping, it doesn't appear to allow me to group just the system messages and delete them in mass, unless I am missing something.

You must have clicked on that puppy as I was fixing the URL, try the one up there now, should display only system messages.

When I click on your link I ONLY see the system messages, but if I go to the housekeeping tab I see ALL my messages.
How did you make it limit it to just the system ones???

Just a little URL manipulation. When you look at instant messages sent by the system (uid=0) the URL is built as "/instant/0", by adding a "?chk=1" it kicks you into housekeeping displaying only messages from uid=0.

If that accomplishes what you're looking to do, you could bookmark it, or add it the the navigation mini-bar.

Even easier is this:

Just click on Housekeeping then look for a System message. Click on the circled "DELETE ALL" link and poof!

Housekeeping is a good function. I use it often.
