I dont understand?

Im moving Saturday. Yay. So I call DSL Extreme to see if I can transfer my services there... guess what? they dont offer the speed I have. they only offer a faster speed... Not sure how that works but okay.. so I paid for the whole year when I started last August. Im paid untill this august. I do not want to upgrade to a higher speed at new apartment. So Im being forced to pay $250 for early termination fee? Ive already paid for the whole year. Im not asking my money back I just want to cancel and move on. So why am I having to pay $250 to cancel when I already paid the year through? Am I just not understanding something?

Hi solitarytear -

It does sound like there was some confusion on our part. You are correct in your assumption that if you pre-paid that if you cancel you don't have to pay a termination fee. I would be happy to take a look at your account and ensure that you get taken care of properly. Can you please send me an IM with your DSL Extreme account information? Additionally can you please send me the location that you are moving to, so I can see what packages are available to you.

Thanks
