| overage limits? how do you get it?
ok so I've been pounding my 50 meg tier pretty hard and don't want to be disconnected in the first month of service. Comcast has my old phone # and I never use my comcast e-mail account how else could I get notified if I'm going over the limit?
I'm guessing no other way but thought I'd ask. -- My Blog: »abanzai.animeblogger.net/ |

| reply to Chiyo You can update your phone #
AND/OR set your comcast email to forward to your regular email account. if spam is a problem, block all incoming email on the comcast account EXCEPT the offical CC billing, tech support, and other known comcast Offical email addy's (I'm sure online chat or phone tech support can give you a list) |

I have been giving my new 1meg upload the run for its money..20gb in a couple days -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdYueIC1pjM |

Between torrents and online video and VPN to work.... yea...
I'm on their 8800/768 package, which is the fastest I can get right now.
I've been trying to get ahold of the Business department, but their online ordering system doesn't work, and their 800 # never returns my phone calls. Its almost as if they don't want my money This has been going on for almost a week now! |

But yes I'm downloading a lot of stuff that I wanted but was too slow to get and now I think I've found stuff that I've wanted I'll lay off on the download as far as uploading probably doing more its faster so I can do more with it. |

| reply to jbob said by jbob :Is WHS Windows Home Server? And if so do you mean you run multiple systems? Sorry yes Windows Home Server I do run multiple systems but I have one rig I use for downloading stuff. but I also transfer stuff from it as well so my #s get skewed because the program thinks I'm uploading or downloading stuff from the WHS.
For example was listening to music last night, straming from my network DU meter saw it as a constant download stream. |

| Then you need a router based solution. If your router supports it I would suggest running WallWatcher as a port monitor. It supports bandwidth monitoring. Tomato firmware also supports bandwidth monitoring if you router will work with it.
If those won't work then I might suggest this solution: »oss.oetiker.ch/mrtg/index.en.html Multi Router Traffic Grapher |

»www.watchguard.com/glossary/b.asp quote: Bandwidth Meter A monitoring tool that provides a real-time graphical display of network activities across a Firebox. This comes as a part of the application called Firebox Monitors.
Guess there's a program out there called "Firebox Monitors" that might be able to help you with the Watchguard. Unfamiliar however. May be be cost prohibitive. |
