mc3 join:2000-08-06 Lake Mary, FL | speculation given the 20 years of experience and analysis of a "family member"'s "venting" who lets just say sits at the big boy table, I highly doubt this will be an issue, makes no sense to risk the EVDO market to Verizon. I will pass this alarming response to him and to hesse and see if it is even true, and a little birdy told me customer service and retention is lets say, a priority. But it sounds like standard ToS to allow action against users who would be abusing the network. In my opinion I don't believe sprint-nextel / clearwire-sprint would do ANYTHING to cause more customer defections, especially in a market they are turning a profit on already.
| | That Sprint is going to cap at 5GB is no rumor.
Email from Bob White, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications confirmed the cap, as well as 2 reps in retention and 2 in tech support.
Additional info dug up indicates that the cost for going over the cap will be $0.03/kilobyte. At that rate you could inadvertently go into debt big time overnight just being a regular user without really abusing the network.
Given that Sprint and Verizon will have the same cap, it is logical to leave Sprint and go to Verizon for the greater coverage.
