apeface join:2000-09-16 Mckinney, TX kudos:3 1 edit | Complaining is complaining Much of this complaining is coming from people that aren't even in a service area, never seen the product, and have little to no idea how it works. The same people roll out and start the bashing every time there is an article about some company doing anything.
For all the bitching on here, the facts are there are close to a half million people signed up so far with many more markets launching this year.
It works fine, looks better than my old Direct tv and Charter cable, and is less expensive. For a product less than 3 years old, I'd say that's pretty good. |

The fact is that they are offering a service that falls well behind both cable and ftth from a speed, scalability and capacity standpoint - and this is supposed to be their next generation offering! Pathetic.
It's pathetic service for the things that are starting to become available from a streaming entertainment perspective. |

Yeah, we heard you the first 20 times.
10mbps internet, 2HD streams and 2SD streams and VOIP phone sounds good to me. Bonding will push that to 20mbps internet, 4HD streams, etc.
Whole Home DVR is pretty sweet and will be out in the coming months.
Again - they're not trying to please the wankers. The above configuration is more than acceptable for 90% of users. |

Besides, the numbers you quote are under "Best Conditions" meaning that you better be 3000 feet or less from the node.
So keep yawning I guess. I gladly will accept the title of "wanker" over allowing at&t to sell me sub-par last generation service at a next generation price. |

The price is the same, usually cheaper, than that of similar cable packages.
TV watching experience and features are 10x over cable.
Get it first, then criticize. You sound misinformed. |

bkymoof moofPremium join:2002-07-05 Austin, TX | said by morbo:please explain how the experience and features are 10x over cable. Why? So you can continue an argument over a service that you probably have never used before? What an idea it is to withhold criticism of a product until after you have actually used it. |
|
morboComplete Your Transaction join:2002-01-22 00000 | your argument that criticism isn't valid unless you have first hand experience with it is completely flawed.
if there are 10x the features and experience, please tell us all what these are! |
