OMG YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!
I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I thought that when I have an emergency and pickup my phone to call 911 it's a little more important to have DIALTONE than to have to give my address to 911 because I'm the idiot who forgot to update my address online when I moved.
If the FCC was performing as intended they would have been all over Verizon for their short commings and dare I say it in front of neofast... BREAKING THE LAW. Instead they are still hastling Vonage about E911 because if a customer (ie. ME) moves it's up to me to go online and update my E911 address.
So... Controlling my life? NO. Enforcing the law? YES.
