| reply to Airwolf7 The Regional Broadband Aggregation Network (RBAN) product was a BellSouth product developed to allow ISPs to offer ISP service arangements across the BellSouth network.
This product allows end users to have a choice of ISPs and for ISPs unaffiliated with BellSouth, the RBOC, access they need to reach BellSouth customers.
I think the only ISP that used this product other then bellsouth.net was Earthlink. An example would be to use user@bellsouth.net or user@earthlink.net at the login prompt on the MODEM.
