Re: [Modem] Netopia 3347 DSL Modem Config..

Canezoid, I saw this below while digging around in my 2210-02-1006.

(Netopia-2000, rev 1), HwID 0x2, Model 2210-02
running version 7.7.3r7_attse, SKU: BellSouth-RBAN

What does RBAN mean?

The Regional Broadband Aggregation Network (“RBAN”) product was a BellSouth product developed to allow ISPs to offer ISP service arangements across the BellSouth network.

This product allows end users to have a choice of ISPs and for ISPs unaffiliated with BellSouth, the RBOC, access they need to reach BellSouth customers.

I think the only ISP that used this product other then bellsouth.net was Earthlink. An example would be to use user@bellsouth.net or user@earthlink.net at the login prompt on the MODEM.
