| [General] Internet connection lost on receipt of call.
I am not sure if this is a modem/roadrunner problem or being cause by my voip/ata. I am running a SPA1001. It seems that sometimes when I receive calls, my phone rings once and my internet connection goes dead for a few minutes. Also not positive which voip provider line the incoming call is on. I have Voicestick on line 2 and MJ on line 1. |

| I had the same thing happen a few years back when using a D-Link router. Basically, it was an old router that did not know what a SIP(VoIP) packet was and the modem/router firmware simply crashed.
Try to find a firmware upgrade for your modem/router. |

What model router do you have? You should call both numbers and determine if only one causes the problem or both. |

| also, you can try turning off your wireless when you test the SPA's incoming. Maybe your router has death symptoms or the wireless segment of the firmware doesn't make good friends with RTP packets. Some routers are like that...WRT54G with stock firmware comes quite a bit up in searches related to dropping signal.
I may be offline with this suggestion, but it doesn't hurt to try. |
