| ACLU against any compromise
Of course, the ACLU is against any compromise that won't keep the legal profession in court sucking more billions in to the hands of the greedy lawyers that would make out the most in any of these lawsuits. A compromise may stop the gravy train from delivering the goods. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page |

Some things are just wrong and some things are just right - under universal laws that apply to all natural things, not just Americans. Such things are not open to interpretation or negotiation...they just are.
I'd say that secretly spying on free men is an assault on free men everywhere, not just in America.
If we're going to go to war in Iraq because their dictator was oppressing his people and free speech, we sure the hell should try a little bit harder to not be such hypocrites and apply the same policy in our own back yard. -- »www.DumbLogic.com |

| reply to TKJunkMail Wait, I thought "greed is good"? I won't disagree there may be some, small, subtle financial motivation to keep this in the courts, but I'm not quite yet so jaded to believe that's the ACLU's primary motivation. They have my complete support in pursuing this action in the name of our republic, just as the telcos have your complete support in evading this action in the name of profit. KM |

And clearly, the induhvidual in question has not invested in any LLPs or private firms or else he would be shouting from the rafters how noble the legal profession is instead of calling lawyers scumbags and otherwise crying about how unfair lawsuits are to business. |

| reply to TKJunkMail All you guys are doing is advocating the removal of the constitutional right that we were all granted to petition the courts for redress of grievances.
A fundamental and original right, I might add.
So much for "strict constructionism". Risable, if it wasn't all so sad. |
