pitroad01 : At least I now know it's not my dvr boxes. Before I read the responses here I called TW-CS again yesterday (after both boxes reverted to showing the channel) and CS scheduled a tech to come out Wednesday. Guess I will call them back and let them know the problem is widespread and no need to dispatch (you'd think they would know).

robotron2084 : Yup, that's the way it works and no idea if they actually consider this a bug to be fixed (I mean, you did select channel ALWAYS ;)). I just set mine to clock always since it's rare that I need to see what channel I'm on. If I really need to know, I can always just hit Info.

[TWC] Problem since new navigator upgrade

pitroad01 : Raleigh, NC area : Since TW 'upgraded' to a new Navigator on-screen guide I've had a problem on both my DVR boxes with the 'clock options' setting. I select "Channel always" which in the past gives you the tuned channel whenever the DVR box is powered up, otherwise it displayed the local time. It appears to work properly during the day (channel when turned on- time when off), but reverts to the channel selected display sometime overnight. Pain in the _ss as we use the DVR display as a clock in the bedroom. Has anyone else experienced this problem? (I have called TW CS and they didn't have an answer. They did send a update to both my DVR boxes and said to keep an eye on it)
