Happens all the time. Its not unusual to wait a year or MORE. Want to know how often it happens? Have have a apartment building that has a cable laying on the ground waiting to get buried..4 years now. Thats right, FOUR years its been on the ground. half a dozen trips or more to local office and the typical "we will send someone out to look at it", so we just ignore it now.

My mother wants some landscaping done and needs lines marked for the contractor. The electric company came an hour after she called the phone and gas came the next day. She doesn't want to call MISS DIG about Charter.
