You can create links to share from your PC, set number of downloads, expire them, etc. Just no user id or password control.

I liked Idrive a lot until this recent build. Especially the fact that it keeps versions without placing it against your account max.

That said, I hope they resolve these issues, a couple are downright dangerous to have from a data backup perspective.

You get up to 2 GB of a trimmed down idrive for free with them , feel free to play with it and see what you think... but shop around before committing
--
The reason you think I'm way on the left is cause you're so far to the right.

atangel : Hi folks,

just looking for fellow idrive users ( »www.idrive.com ), wondering if you have upgraded to the new 2.2.0 version and are suffering any issues?

LOL, I am, just wondering if I am alone, or, if as is usual, we in the tech community figured it out some workaround before tech support.

Issues:

Synch reports files as no longer on hard drive when they are (seems to be a special character issue in filename, like an umlaut, doesn't "see" them anymore). This one is downright dangerous.

Half-checked checkboxes are invisible in interface

Impossible to uncheck folder once checked (really).

And a few others, but these are the most important to me.

In contact with support, have sent screen shots, have asked for a download to the prior stable version (my bad, I deleted it) but not gotten it yet. Been going on since, I guess the 16th when they released it. They released a new build on the 23rd, but for me has not resolved anything.

If you did upgrade, did you check how it worked? I would now! LOL!

Thanks!
--
The reason you think I'm way on the left is cause you're so far to the right.
