@comcast.net
| reply to Fr0zen Are you using the DHCP-assigned DNS servers from comcast or third party DNS servers? If you're using the DHCP ones, try using the servers provided by opendns.com.
that being said, i'm unable to reach anything across the atlantic. seems like there might be some kind of routing issue. |

Comcast is somewhat notorious for regional DNS outages. Perhaps changing to the ever popular 4.2.2.1 as a primary would alleviate your problems.
Tracert it vs the Comcast one ... it was actually closer to me than CC's
If it's a new domain, it could be a caching issue. On windows XP/Vista drop to command prompt as Admin and try a
c:\Documents and Users\ blah blah bla....>ipconfig /flushdns
That will empty your local DNS cache. If running Vista I trust you have your UAC enabled?
EDIT: yep. Me neither - GoDaddy is not found. If only I could justify paying more for what Comacast gives me. Chances are Level 3 is having another bought of sellers envy

| You need to reboot everything first. Comcast is also notorious for timing out your lease and not giving one back to the same ip# in a timely fashion. Once you can log into your router, Clone your Computers MAC address and see if things tip right side up again. -- Computer Repair & Networking Services »MemphisPCGuy.com |

I work from home via a VPN connection my company set up and I don't want to clone the MAC Addy if it will screw that up or my wife's labtop that connects wirelessly. The re-boot didnt fix the issue but I can now get on the router. |
