I don't have IDrive, but I am thinking about it. Can I use IDrive like an FTP server, in which I can store files for public downloads?

| Not like that, but for sharing, you might want to look at Logmein Pro instead. You can create links to share from your PC, set number of downloads, expire them, etc. Just no user id or password control.
I liked Idrive a lot until this recent build. Especially the fact that it keeps versions without placing it against your account max.
That said, I hope they resolve these issues, a couple are downright dangerous to have from a data backup perspective.
You get up to 2 GB of a trimmed down idrive for free with them , feel free to play with it and see what you think... but shop around before committing -- The reason you think I'm way on the left is cause you're so far to the right. |
