When you visit places like CNN (images each are a few MB), main pages themselves take up 4-5 MB. What many forget is that simple web browsing is actually intensive. Today's sites are laden with ads (pop ups and even video ads) that further eat away at BW. Hell, if you don't believe me, spend about an hour browsing CNN, go to wired, check out dslreports, and whatever makes you happy. You'll be amazed at that counter, too. All these little graphics add up fast. |
