Some DSL gateways allow bridging; others do not; therefore,
this looks to be one not allowing bridging, but then again,
it's very recent and powerful as a device, that I would
keep all of it's aspects functional given its quality.

I would eliminate the smoothwall.

Otherwise, go on ebay and buy a dsl modem or dsl gateway
that bellsouth, verizon users are selling, such as the
westell 2100, 2200, 6100, 327w, or speedstreams 5360,
5260, 5100b, 5100a, broadcom blaster, etc. Cost is about
$30 USD ....

so the only solution is to replace the D-link?
i cant buy a cheap router becouse im in my office and whe have about 25 pc with a lot of trafic, also these 75$ router some times hangs up and the smothwall not.
gona ask to my bost if can buy another router from a better name like 3com or cisco with bridge.

Boy we need more guys like you who can draw network plans. So why must you use smooth wall as that is slower than any hardware firewall like a cheap router.
