I recently purchased a townhouse to be built, and had to me with the contracted wiring company. They informed me that in order to get FIOS TV I had to install a phone and cable jack for each box, and for the internet one cable and two phone. They state that Verizon told them to do this and even provided with a "verizon" document stating just this. They got $700 of my money, but I live in a community of 500 and I think a lot have fios. What to do?? I've talked to the builder and the wiring company will not give money back and says that verizon told them to do this. |

| $700 is a good price if you got upgraded wiring with cat-5 and coax to several rooms. Even better if you got a centralized wiring box for all comm services. I paid $500 for the same in 2000. Not bad.
