 2700hg-b trouble configuring to talktalk

i bought a refurbished 2700hg-b so i could run my pc wirelessly and xbox throuh an ethernet cable at my new roommates house. I replaced his talktalk broadband modem with the 2wire router and tried to run the configuration wizzard!

Settings used as recommended on talktalk support page:

PPPoA
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
VC-Mux

Setup ran smothly untill it reached the final step,

error: unable to communicate with the configuration server.

So I open mozilla firefox and google pops straight up!

But if i go to youtube pages load but videos will not. Uninstalled zonealarm from pc, reset, try youtube again, same problem.

Any help will be much apreciated!
