| [IL] What is up with my connection?!
Well, for the past few days, ive noticed that my connection has been acting very weird. I will try to load a website, and it will take so long, that after a while it will say "cannot display page" and im like wtf? It was just working, and then it just stops for a bit. I sometimes have to disable my local area connection, which most of the time doesnt do a thing to disable it and re-enable it. I havent really been on any other computers on my wireless to really test and see if this happens, but its getting very annoying! Any way to solve this?
PS- I have the VIP plan with the cable box that has the phone, and internet. It says "Touchstone Telephony Moden" |

| Did the link Anonymous provided bring you your modem's status page? If so, all that you really need to provide is:
Downstream SNR: Downstream Power Level: Upstream Power Level:
Those are the basic figures that can help determine if there is a possible intermittent connection due to a borderline signal. |

| reply to Vampyfan2 I think the tech that came out to my house solved my connection problem. He was dealing with the equipment at the street and called to ask if we had a connection, yes, we told him. He was pretty shocked and said that our equipment was absolutely frying in the sun. He said he would do a few things to fix it, so I guess he did. It definitely fixed the connection dropout every 30 seconds or so.
Call and ask for a tech to come out to check the temps maybe? |

| The amp might be in manual. When it gets hot out it can't automatically compensate for the temp change so someone needs to adjust it. Might be good till temps cool again, when it'll have to be adjusted for lower temps. IF that's what's going on there, then you should be ok for now. Nothing you can do. |
